SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DREAM DESTINATION WEDDINGS AND HONEYMOONS

 

Enjoying romantic sunsets from spectacular rugged coastal settings, cozy walks through the picturesque arts community of Laguna Beach are just two of the delights couples can enjoy while celebrating their destination wedding and/or honeymoon in southern California at the St. Regis Resort, Monarch Beach

Set an elegant tone for you dream getaway by beginning your stay by transferring from the airport to your hotel in a classic limousine or vintage cars and convertibles. 

 

The intimate Wine Cellar at the St. Regis Resort, Monarch Beach is the ultimate private dining venue for a wedding rehearsal dinner. With 100-year-old pavé flooring and stonewalls from a French monastery The St. Regis Wine Cellar creates the "cellar-like" ambiance of a European chateau. The St. Regis Wine Cellar can accommodate up to 50 wedding rehearsal dinner guests and would also be perfect for smaller wedding ceremony and reception. 

 

For a fun pre wedding celebration their private Beach Club can accommodate bonfires at the beach. Their Monarch Beach Golf Links is the perfect locale for the groom and groomsmen to tee off and enjoy a fun day of golf while their Spa Gaucin offers a number of different bridal packages and can accommodate the bridal party members who wish to be pampered prior to the big day. Motif features Tea & Tinis on Saturday afternoons- a nice way to celebrate with family. Or couples can just relax poolside with a signature cocktail and a cabana rental to keep their guests entertained all afternoon. 

 

The St. Regis Resort, Monarch Beach offers three distinct ceremony locations. Their outdoor ceremony locations include the Grand or Pacific Lawns with private rose beds, cascading double staircases and panoramic views of the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Another unique setting is the Botanical Garden, crowned by a picturesque marble gazebo. Views of the rolling greens of the Monarch Beach Golf Links and the Pacific create a vista of breathtaking beauty. 

 

After the ceremony, your reception can be held in one of their exquisitely appointed reception venues. For smaller wedding receptions, the intimate Wine Cellar (50 guests) and Club 19, which overlooks the first tee and offers stunning ocean and golf course views (dinner/dancing for approximately 120 guests.) would be perfect and if your are golf fans, a decorated golf cart could be used to transport you to the site. The elegant Monarch Ballroom (seating for 300 guests) and the magnificent grandeur of the Pacific Ballroom (seating for approximately 800 guests) are the ideal setting for larger receptions. The Botanical Lawn South can also be tented and provides beautiful ocean and golf course views as well as seating for up to 500 guests. A Cigar Lounge can be set up for couples that wish to provide this amenity for their guests.

The resort features breathtaking views of the Pacific as well as golf course, pool and dramatic staircase and fountain backgrounds that is ideal for wedding photos.

A romantic spa day can be set up as a registry gift items in one of the resort’s romantic couple's suites. Other registry custom day activities that can be arranged include whale watching, bike riding, a romantic picnic dinner for two at the beach or private yacht rental.

The Montage Resort & Spa (link to resort on your site), complete with lush landscaping and pristine white sand beaches, is another southern California resort destination wedding and honeymoon consideration.

Here couples can choose between hosting a casual BBQ wedding rehearsal dinner, a custom theme event, opt to hold a more formal eight course meal on the lawns or enjoy a wedding rehearsal dinner in a private room in one of the wonderful restaurants in the area.Pre wedding events could include shopping excursions to Fashion Island, South Coast Plaza, and Newport Coast shopping centers and a day of pampering at the Montage Spa. Or if you prefer, the Spa can be brought to you and your wedding party can enjoy a night of relaxation in the comfort of your suite at the Montage. Some brides have brought in make-up artists to a training session for their bridesmaids and then get their makeup done. For the more adventurous, you can do a bridal boot-camp and whip your bridal party into shape. Arrangements for grooms and their groomsmen to go deep sea fishing, golfing, day trips to Catalina island, go-cart racing, kayaking and sailing.

A romantic wedding could be held on the resort’s lawns that overlook the Pacific Ocean and offer an 180 degree unobstructed ocean views. The lawns are cared for year long and are always manicured beautifully.

The Montage Resort & Spa have (2) ballrooms that they host the wedding receptions in and both are very sought after (they only host (1) wedding a day so they have couples booking very far in advance). Their gallery ballroom can host up to 150 and their grand ballroom 350.

Their most popular wedding entree's at the resort are the duel entree options which are the Filet Mignon and either lobster, Scallops, Sea Bass or Herb Crusted Halibut. Most all of their couples do an open bar for theirs guests and many couples are including fun signature drinks that incorporate the colors of their wedding. Their pastry chef can emulate anywedding cake as long as you bring in a color photograph of what you want and they can do any flavor you desire..

 

The ballrooms can be piped and draped so that couples can work with a blank slate for their color palate. What can be done is limited only by your imagination. Couples have hung crystal chandeliers throughout the ballroom one couple used all of the lighting rigging points to hang vines and flowers so that they entire ceiling looking like an enchanted forest with twinkling lights.

 

The entire site of Montage can be seen as a historical landmark since it has been here for years and they have had two movies shot here prior to actual hotel's arrival. They do have (2) palm trees named Lucy and Desi that were in the film "The Long Long Trailer" that was shot years ago with the real Lucy and Desi that are perfect setting for one wedding photo. Since the resort only does one wedding a day couples have exclusive access to their entire property for their wedding shoot.

Two nights of exquisite dining (one night in the privacy of your room and the other at The Loft), a couple’s massage at Spa Montage, and a rose petal bath drawn especially for you by the resort's romance artist are just some of the romantic just for two registry items to consider.
